Native Americans the Hopi

The Hopi are very interesting people who have a different way of life. This blog will inform you a them and there life stile. Food should be the first subject talked about. They ate corn, beans and squash witch they called the 3 sisters and there corn was multi colored (red, blue, purple ect..). They made there toys out of corn husks. They would use irrigation to grow crops. They used katina dolls witch weren't meant for playing but for teaching culture. Their oldest city has been around since 1150 CE. They belived their creator lead them to the south west. They also belived they were care takers of the land. That is just some imformation about the south west.

the story of corn

One time there was a taylor named Yanyapatche. She was the only being in nothingness,so she sewed the world. She sewed humans and animals, they died right away. Yanyapatche made seeds and taught them how to grow corn. Then she sent some of them to the southwest. She told them to take care of the land.

They had no-where to live, so Yanyapatche taught them how to make pueblos from adobe. But there children weren't happy, so Yanyapatche taught them how to make toys from corn husk. Yanyapatche taught them how to hunt when they got tried of eating corn. She taught them how to make pottery so they could store things.
Yanyapatche had made everything on earth perfect for life. She made humans able to eat, she gave them a home, even comtainers to store things like food.Yanyapatche made everything necessary to live.
